I wonder why. It’s not Jonah Goldberg’s fault, just in case you were thinking of hatemailing him. I think his advice was very sound. And his timing is amazing! I wonder if he could email me some random numbers for lottery tickets.
I was actually planning on writing about Goldberg’s column, but now I’m distracted by Palin’s sudden exit. She’s been the favorite pinata of the Left and some on the right, and perhaps the strain has gotten to her. If this is the case, she’ll never be president. Some are suggesting scandal–always a possibility–though I sincerely hope not, speaking as a fan. That would be disappointing. Perhaps she is going to focus solely on her ‘12 campaign. Whatever her reasons, I’m sure we’ll find them out soon, thanks to some intrepid reporting by someone on the VF staff. Well, we’ll find out only if her reasons are horribly embarrassing to her, her children, or her husband.
Keep your chin up, Sarah. And listen to Jonah Goldberg. He’s a smarty.

If that’s the case, I doubt she’d want to be president.
Granted, some days I don’t understand why anyone would — unless it’s for power or money (if that’s all one cares about, then taking the hits is easy).
I’m not sure what to think of her leaving. Heck, I’d completely understand if she turned around and gave double birds to the country. Aside from the constant hits from blogs and MSM, the idea that people can just drum up silly things for lawsuits and end up costing her hundreds of thousands of dollars, is just… crazy.
Mark Levin thinks her leaving is a good political move. I think MSM and much of the Blogosphere are going through KJAU (Knee-Jerks As Usual).
“I think MSM and much of the Blogosphere are going through KJAU (Knee-Jerks As Usual).”
Well said. And in a nation where voters have the attention spans of gnats, it’s way too early to know how this will affect Palin’s political future, assuming she wants one.
